One of the features that war based games often hold back on is user experience. Developed by the American video game developer, Infinity Ward, Inc., Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was published by Activision. The game is currently on demand given that it is a first-person shooter video game that focuses on giving the gamer an actual Warfield experience. Coming as the 13th primary installment in the Call of Duty series it is compatible with almost every console. Gamers can play it on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows platforms.
The publisher, Activision, announced in 2014 that the Call of Duty series was doing well and they would be releasing 3 games. Alongside Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games, Infinity Ward got the opportunity to work on 1 of these 3 installments. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was the last release and Infinity Ward worked on game development since 2014 to focus more on the storytelling. This, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare hugely depends on its action-packed storyline for player fascination.
First released worldwide in November 2016, the game has experienced widespread positive reception. The single-player, multiplayer game can be enjoyed by an individual player or used as a reason to develop a gaming extravaganza. Written by Brian Bloom and Taylor Kurosaki, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s game line is loosely based around the battle for the Solar System. The first-person gamer should fight the hostiles i.e. Settlement Defense Front (SDF) to keep the solar system safely within the good human forces.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare found the best hook line by signing up John Snow, the King in the North, the White Wolf, the risen commander of the Knight’s watch aka Kit Harington to be the antagonist, Rear Admiral Salen Kotch in the game. Set in the distant future, the game focuses on what remains on planet earth after overpopulation depleted her resources. Earth now depends on resources from colonies around the Solar System to preserve the lives of the few remaining residents. Lead by the United Nations Space Alliance (UNSA), earthlings seek to mine asteroids and planets around the solar system for resources to keep the planet going.
It is not only earthlings that depend on the solar system, there are also militant radicals thus prompting UNSA to form the Solar Associated Treaty Organization (SATO) to defend their interests. However, there is also the Settlement Defense Front (DFS), a group of rebels that break off UNSA just before gameplay. The DFS is SATO’s biggest enemy and commerces a surprise attack on Geneva.
The mission is pretty straight forward. There are the intense multiplayer and zombies in space land game modes and Captain Reyes, the Special Operations pilot of Tier 1 who is now the commander, must lead the existing coalition forces into the battlefield. In addition to keeping the coalition members intact and fighting for the same team, Commander Reyes and team must find means of adapting and defeating the extremely volatile environment around the solar system. Whilst adapting, Reyes has to lead the coalition against Kotch who commanders over the Olympus Mons starship.
Some of the most problematic enemies include the zombies. Their Zombies in Spaceland gaming mode becomes active when the coalition has to ward off the zombies in space land. In this terrain, there are special types of enemies that are difficult to defeat including the exploding clown zombies. In The Beast from Beyond terrain, set in a part of the UNSA terrain in 2206, there is a major battle between the NSA heroes and a coalition of Cryptid aliens and zombies.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare steadily gained momentum as it is compatible with a range of platforms. Purchasing a season pass enables players to receive the 4 updates to be released throughout 2017. Instead of the regular voiceover that almost every game has, Infinite Warfare has the ‘UK Special Forces’ voice pack that is unique and exclusive to the game.
